What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a talented Storage Engineer 2 to leverage your technical expertise in solving complex business problems. As a subject matter expert, you will evaluate technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, and research, while delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, migrate, and document SAN and NAS systems.
- Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and technical teams to implement SAN/NAS solutions.
- Execute migrations of storage workloads, including NDM and LVM based migrations and data migrations between NAS platforms (CIFS, NFS, multiprotocol shares).
- Follow strict change management procedures, including after-hours change windows.
- Manage a multisite storage environment using technologies like SRDF and SVM-DR.
- Respond quickly to storage failures and incidents to protect customer data and prevent future occurrences.
- Participate in projects to deploy, expand, and update storage technology infrastructure.
- Create and maintain operational documentation.
- Work collaboratively with peer technology teams and customers to provision and configure storage.
- Continuously improve services and streamline internal processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Commitment to incorporating security into all job responsibilities.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- Understanding of Storage and Backup technologies (NAS, SAN, FC, Object/S3, Snapshots).
- Familiarity with WAN/LAN network technologies.
- Knowledge of SAN and NAS migration methodologies (NDM, LVM, DataDobi).
- General understanding of host operating systems (AIX, AS400, Linux, Windows 2012/2016/2019/2022, VMware, Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL).
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with automation technologies (Ansible, Terraform).
- Understanding of storage auditing practices in AWS and Azure.
- Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts and best practices.
Pay: $51.10 – $73.00 /yr.
