What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Verification & Validation Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant medical devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and validating software in complex medical device systems, including application, embedded, and platform software. This role requires a strong technical background, expertise in automated testing, and a proactive approach to collaboration in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute manual and automated software verification protocols.
- Analyze requirements, architect test strategies, and design test scenarios.
- Author and execute test cases, protocols, and automated scripts.
- Validate user interfaces, performance, reliability, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure adherence to FDA design controls, ISO 13485, and IEC 62304 standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Software Assurance function.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Computer, Electronics, Electrical).
- 5+ years of experience in automated test script development and execution.
- Proficiency in Python programming/scripting and automation framework development.
- Strong technical writing skills for diverse audiences.
- Ability to work onsite full-time.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in regulated medical device development adhering to FDA and ISO standards.
- Knowledge of tools: Rational Quality Manager, Jenkins, Squish, TOSCA, JIRA, Git, DOORS Next Gen.
- Experience with operating systems: Windows and Linux.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and quick decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Pay: $44.80 – $64.00 /hr.
