What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Tester to join a dynamic team focused on ensuring the quality of software applications. This role involves rigorous manual testing within a structured development environment. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other testers to perform verification activities throughout the software testing lifecycle. While the environment involves automation, this specific role requires strong manual testing expertise; you will not be required to write automated test scripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in verification activities during both informal testing phases and formal verification phases.
- Develop, document, and maintain clear, concise manual test cases based on software requirements and design specifications.
- Execute manual verification test cases meticulously, ensuring thorough coverage.
- Accurately log test results, defects, and anomalies using the designated test management tool (Helix ALM).
- Work collaboratively with development teams, business analysts, and fellow testers to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Engage with cross-functional teams as needed for project success.
- Perform verification testing on fixes for identified software anomalies.
- Update and create verification-related documentation as assigned.
- Adhere to established quality processes and procedures; complete required training modules pertinent to the role.
- As needed, assist with validation testing activities and provide field-related support by addressing functionality queries and investigating software behavior.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in manual software testing.
- Strong understanding of test planning, design, and execution.
- Familiarity with Helix ALM or similar test management tools.
- Experience in testing Java applications.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of web application testing.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Familiarity with validation and field support processes
Pay: $42.00 – $60.00 /hr.
