What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior UX Designer, you will be instrumental in combining research, design, and usability principles to enhance the overall experience of stakeholders using our firm's platforms. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating effectively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to identify problems, define desired outcomes, and uncover new opportunities.
- Developing the strategy, approach, and timelines for design projects in collaboration with product management and engineering.
- Moving design projects through the entire product design process, including discovery, concept, detailed design, and implementation, facilitating progress at each stage.
- Applying quantitative and qualitative user research methods iteratively to gain insights that guide your design decisions.
- Analyzing and visualizing user journeys, flows, processes, and relationships.
- Designing, visualizing, and communicating the user experience for our products through concepts, maps, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity visuals, and other artifacts.
- Applying a system and platform-thinking approach, resulting in design patterns that integrate seamlessly into the larger component-based product ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A portfolio that demonstrates experience in designing and shipping large-scale product releases.
- Strong knowledge of UX principles and how they apply across web, desktop, and mobile platforms.
- Strong understanding of the product design process.
- Entrepreneurial drive and a desire to work in a commercially focused, fast-paced environment.
- A team player attitude with comfort in collaborating with fellow designers to deliver the best outcome.
- Adaptability, with the ability to incorporate user feedback and research into continuous product enhancements.
- Ability to apply and facilitate iterative discovery, design thinking, and co-creation methodologies.
- Ability to understand, balance, and solve for both business and user needs.
- Understanding of web standards, capabilities, and best practices (HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
- Experience with Figma, Sketch, and InVision, as well as design systems.
- Strong design leadership skills, capable of advocating for quality design while also acknowledging constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
Pay: $84.00 – $120.00 /hr.
