What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team and support the critical Messaging Center of Excellence initiatives. In this role, you will ensure the reliability and performance of messaging applications by conducting manual and automated testing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, evaluate requirements, develop test plans, execute test cases, and provide quality assurance. Your ability to troubleshoot, analyze results, and implement solutions will enhance customer and employee experiences in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements to define the scope of testing for messaging applications.
- Design, produce, and execute test plans and cases, both manual and automated.
- Test Java-based applications and troubleshoot root causes for identified defects.
- Conduct full lifecycle testing, from development to end-to-end evaluation.
- Document and report defects, perform re-testing after fixes, and publish test results.
- Maintain quality control checkpoints and track metrics to meet SLAs.
- Collaborate in a remote work environment while managing multiple priorities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years experience as a Test Engineer
- Experience working with SQL creating and executing queries.
- Experience testing Java-based applications
- Experience in quality assurance software testing including performing analysis, defining required testing, developing associated test plans, and test execution; both manually and using automation test tools.
- Must have experience in full lifecycle development and end-to-end testing
- Must have the ability to effectively collaborate and work with others in a remote work environment
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment and have a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
- Must demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities and requirements
- Proven track record of taking initiative and driving a plan effectively
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence
- Experience with SQL, SoapUI, Splunk, Postman, AWS, and DevTest Automation Tool
Pay: $39.20 – $56.00 /hr.
