What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a Senior Software Analyst to join our Cloud Data Engineering team. In this role, you will evaluate business requests, gather and document functional requirements, and recommend technical solutions. You’ll work closely with teams to interpret customer needs into logical design specifications, perform SQL-based gap/risk analyses, and provide functional testing. Your role will include enhancing business processes, supporting software development, and communicating findings effectively across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze business requests to determine feasibility and recommend solutions.
- Gather, document, and maintain business and functional requirements.
- Translate requirements into conceptual and logical designs.
- Use SQL to perform gap/risk analyses and support testing processes.
- Develop prototypes and recommend changes to meet requirements.
- Collaborate on root cause analysis and problem-solving for system issues.
- Document system design information and complex business processes.
- Partner with software development teams to communicate requirements.
- Provide end-user documentation and validate new software releases.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of related experience.
- 3+ years of SQL experience.
- Experience working with Agile or KANBAN methodologies.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (2010 or later).
- Basic knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or similar project tracking systems.
- Familiarity with regression and release testing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with all management levels.
- Experience ensuring compliance with data security standards.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with rental applications or enterprise mobility systems.
- SQL experience on platforms like Teradata, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with API requirements analysis and design.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and a willingness to learn new platforms.
Pay: $42 – $60 /hr.
