What You Will Be Doing:
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior IT Deployment Specialist to join our IT Delivery Services team. This role is key to supporting the global deployment of technology solutions, ensuring the seamless installation and configuration of wired and wireless LAN-connected devices, network communications equipment, software, and peripherals across all locations. As a Senior IT Deployment Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring technology deployment initiatives at rental branch, administrative, and corporate locations. You will also serve as the point of contact for technical escalations and work closely with business, IT, and external service providers to meet deployment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the deployment of network devices, communication equipment, and related technology solutions across multiple locations.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot wired and wireless LAN-connected hardware, network equipment, software, and peripherals at remote and corporate facilities.
- Gather and define technical requirements from business units and ensure alignment with deployment goals.
- Provide remote installation assistance via telephone and onsite customer support when required.
- Manage network connectivity, including knowledge of TCP/IP and Cisco routers and switches.
- Interface with end-users for procedural and technical escalations, providing prompt resolutions.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, ensuring all configurations, issues, and solutions are well documented.
- Lead and manage multiple high-priority projects, meeting deadlines and managing resources effectively.
- Contribute to project management activities, including planning, resource allocation, timeline development, and progress monitoring.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT deployment or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience managing networks and network connectivity, with a strong knowledge of TCP/IP.
- 2+ years of experience installing and configuring wired and wireless LAN-connected hardware, network communications equipment, software, and peripherals at remote and corporate locations.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Cisco network equipment (routers, switches, etc.).
- Experience with client/server computing, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, SCCM, and file and print servers.
- Strong project management skills, including defining project plans, managing resources, and monitoring tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), and familiarity with Exchange Services.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface with all levels within an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while remaining calm under pressure.
- High attention to detail and commitment to security in all aspects of the job.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in leading teams and large-scale deployment projects.
- Experience with Windows operating systems (Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2003/2008).
- Experience with creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.
Pay: $33.60 – $48 /yr.
