What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will focus on building out content and plans. You will work with your internal networks, communications peers, and business unit leadership to turn long-term communication plans into specific landmarks. Your role involves understanding your audiences and their needs, recognizing potential challenges, and recommending solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build out content and communication plans with support from management and Communications leadership
- Develop a deep understanding of target audiences within specific business units and their communication needs and journeys
- Parse longer communications plans into specific milestones and deliverable landmarks
- Proactively identify challenges or barriers in communication strategies before they become immediate threats
- Recommend and implement strategic solutions to communication obstacles
- Collaborate effectively with internal networks and communications peers
- Present ideas and strategic plans confidently to business unit leadership
- Maintain focus on both short-term tactical execution and long-term strategic communications vision
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7 or more years of communications, journalism, or marketing experience
- 2-7 years of experience leading or coaching others
- Experience translating stakeholder needs into communication strategies and experiences
- Ability to work in a team-based or matrix environment
- Strong intrapersonal skills and judgment
- Demonstrated success navigating complex, dynamic environments and ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience in financial services, other highly regulated industries, and change management
- Comprehensive knowledge of internal communication strategies and their delivery
- A degree in Journalism, Communication, English, web development, or a related field is preferred
Pay: $41.30 – $59.00 /hr.
