What You Will Be Doing:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Release Manager 1 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and closing out release activities for simple to moderately complex IT initiatives. You will collaborate with team members and deployment sponsors while ensuring adherence to the organization's release and change management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize assigned activities across applications, teams, and projects, ensuring effective dependency management.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute releases according to the established plan and timeline.
  • Maintain release documentation and archives while staying informed about future IT maintenance activities.
  • Partner with team members to understand the release plan and assigned components.
  • Conduct and participate in post-release reviews to assess the effectiveness of various processes; may lead reviews with guidance.
  • Implement process improvement measures based on review findings.
  • Communicate information related to assigned release components to internal teams and, when necessary, external sponsors.
  • Track progress and report to internal teams and external sponsors as needed, ensuring documentation is accurate.
  • Source and coordinate assigned resources throughout various components of the release, recommending additional resource needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and/or customers during the execution of tasks and activities.
  • Build and analyze supporting materials applicable to assigned initiatives and share findings for continuous improvement.
  • Incorporate security and compliance into all decisions and daily responsibilities while following established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards.
  • Assist with task automation and process improvements as directed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of IT release management tools and processes.
  • Experience in project coordination and dependency management.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with change management processes and policies.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with post-release reviews and process improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of application and infrastructure release activities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices in IT.

Pay: $33.60 – $48 /yr.
