What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a Product Development Scientist to drive R&D trials for medical nutrition, consumer care, and VMS products, focusing on lab and pilot scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute R&D trials in lab and pilot settings
- Coordinate trial setups, ingredient sourcing, and concept trials for various product lines
- Document and analyze results, providing trial insights to teams and management
- Ensure compliance with food production regulations (FDA, OSHA, GMP)
- Oversee sensory, shelf-life, and consumer studies, including prototype tastings
- Maintain lab organization and supplies, following safety protocols
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field
- 1-5 years of experience in food or nutritional product development
- Strong understanding of nutritional science and food chemistry
- Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment
- Proficiency in data analysis and report writing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field
- Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, SPSS)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for food and dietary supplements
- Experience with pilot plant operations
Pay: $20.92 – $29.89 /hr.
