  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to comply with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, NERC CIP).
  • Implement and manage zero-trust security models, endpoint security, and identity access controls.
  • Conduct security audits, patch management, and regular updates to the network security infrastructure.
  • Provide incident response support and forensic investigation in support of the computing environment.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices in network and cloud environments.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, cybersecurity operations, or closely related roles.
  • Strong, demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP suite, network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP), switching, firewalls, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation techniques.
  • Proven experience configuring and managing security hardware/software (e.g., Cisco Routers/Switches/ASA, Palo Alto Firewalls, general IDS/IPS systems).
  • Hands-on experience with security monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SIEM platforms like Splunk, network analyzers like NetScout/Wireshark, vulnerability scanners like Nmap, Nessus).
  • Experience with endpoint security solutions (e.g., System Center Endpoint Protection, Sophos) and encryption technologies (Disk Encryption, PGP).
  • Solid understanding of common operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions like Red Hat/Ubuntu).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, PCNSA/PCNSE, CEH, CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with cloud security principles and platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash) for automation and analysis.
  • Experience with advanced network technologies (e.g., SAN, MAN, specific WAN circuits like T1/DS3).
  • Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
  • Experience with additional security tools like Metasploit or forensics tools.
