What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a skilled LIMS Developer to design, develop, and maintain Lab Information Management Systems and related lab-quality software systems. This global role involves enhancing laboratory efficiency through improved software functionality, custom reports, and data retrieval solutions. Working closely with lab management, data science, and data engineering teams, the LIMS Developer will also support system administration, troubleshooting, and upgrades to ensure optimal lab operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance LIMS, including requirement analysis, system configuration, upgrades, and documentation.
  • Partner with lab management to plan LIMS implementations, assess operational impacts, and optimize workflows.
  • Create and manage LIMS reports in Crystal and Excel; support data retrieval using queries and reporting tools.
  • Maintain system data, develop KPIs, and support laboratory functions.
  • Provide ongoing LIMS support, including troubleshooting, administration, bug fixes, and end-user training.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as part of weekly support.
  • Collaborates with data science teams, lab SMEs, data engineers, and platform teams. Works under the guidance of the data pipeline lead and partners closely with lab stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, scientific discipline, or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in LabWare LIMS development, configuration, and support.
  • Proficiency with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Strong skills in system administration, customer-focused support, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in laboratory workflows and quality control principles.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with LabWare 6, 8, LabVantage, or similar LIMS platforms.
  • Experience with agriculture, life sciences, bioinformatics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API, project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps), LabWare Crystal Reports, and schedulers.
  • Cloud computing experience (AWS, Google, or Azure).
  • LabWare certifications.

Pay: $49.70 – $71.00 /hr.
