What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a skilled IT Manager specializing in Cloud Data Engineering to lead our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in executing our data reporting, analytics, and governance technology strategy. The ideal candidate will foster a positive environment for team development while ensuring high-quality data solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute strategic and tactical direction for the Cloud Data Engineering team.
  • Collaborate with Business and IT leaders to prioritize data-related initiatives.
  • Manage teams performing analysis, design, development, testing, and support of data acquisition, integration, and serving applications.
  • Build, develop, and execute project plans across multiple initiatives.
  • Work on Product Optimization efforts for data lake solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other IT solution teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Ensure timely and transparent communications and expectations management.
  • Build future leaders, inspire teams, and foster a strong employee engagement environment.
  • Ensure priorities are understood and adhered to.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to develop KPIs for data service availability and usability.
  • Ensure high-quality code deployments and thorough testing.
  • Maintain 24×7 support for data pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Must reside in the St. Louis, Missouri, area with the ability to come onsite as needed.
  • 6+ years of related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams within a large enterprise IT organization.
  • Experience in people management activities (career planning, training, hiring, performance reviews).
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven project delivery success.
  • Experience with agile methodology.
  • Experience working in cloud data engineering or data warehouse and reporting environments.
  • Proven leadership of application development teams with high-transaction workloads.
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and trends.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management concepts.
  • Proven leadership, results orientation, and self-motivation.
  • Superb communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with data-driven storytelling.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend and direct project scope and requirements.
  • Strong skills in mentoring and developing IT professionals.
  • Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud-based solutions using cloud-native platforms.

Pay: $112,000.00 – $160,000.00 /yr.
