Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented IBM ILOG CPLEX Supply Chain Optimization Consultant.

What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking an experienced IBM ILOG CPLEX consultant for a 3-month contract engagement to evaluate, optimize, and document our supply chain planning model. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in mathematical optimization, supply chain modeling, and the IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Evaluation & Analysis:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessment of current IBM ILOG CPLEX implementation and supply chain planning model architecture.
    • Analyze model performance, scalability, and efficiency.
    • Evaluate data integration points and workflow processes.
  • Optimization & Improvement:
    • Identify and implement performance enhancements to reduce solve times.
    • Recommend and develop model refinements to improve solution quality.
    • Propose architectural improvements for long-term scalability.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:
    • Create comprehensive technical documentation of the existing model structure.
    • Develop detailed user guides and best practices documentation.
    • Document all recommended improvements and implementation roadmaps.
  • Training & Enablement:
    • Design and deliver hands-on training sessions for internal staff.
    • Ensure knowledge transfer for sustainable long-term support.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM ILOG CPLEX Optimization Studio.
    • Expert-level proficiency in OPL (Optimization Programming Language).
    • Experience with CPLEX-related technologies (C++, Java, or  .NET).
    • Proven track record optimizing large-scale supply chain models.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Deep understanding of supply chain planning concepts, including demand planning, inventory optimization, production planning, and distribution.
    • Experience with S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) processes.
    • Familiarity with ERP integration and data pipeline development.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
    • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
    • Proven ability to train and mentor technical teams.
    • Experience with performance tuning and debugging complex optimization models.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • IBM CPLEX certification or formal training.
  • Experience with other optimization solvers (Gurobi, FICO Xpress).
  • Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis and visualization.
  • Previous consulting experience in similar engagements.

Pay: $108.50 – $155.00 /hr.
