What You Will Be Doing:
This position provides frontline support and timely HR Service to all associates (U.S. and Canada) and family members, as well as applicants, candidates, and third-party vendors. You will answer general HR questions and inquiries, in addition to complex questions or scenarios requiring HR explanation, guidance, and/or consultation in gray areas where little or no guidance is available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer HR plans and procedures, including updating and maintaining policies and employee handbooks.
- Support compensation program administration and performance evaluation processes.
- Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, reporting changes, approving invoices, and communicating benefit details.
- Maintain affirmative action programs and associated reporting and documentation.
- Support employee relations, including counseling and exit interviews when needed.
- Maintain HRIS records and generate required reports.
- Assist with talent acquisition, recruitment activities, and onboarding processes.
- Organize training and development programs and assist with employee performance review cycles.
- Provide guidance to employees on HR-related topics such as leaves, benefits, and compensation.
- Analyze HR metrics such as time-to-hire and turnover.
- Maintain employee records in both digital and physical formats.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Respond to phone and written HR inquiries via ServiceNow.
- Serve as first-level support for questions related to benefits, compensation, performance, conduct, promotions, separations, policies, and transfers.
- Use de-escalation techniques for employees experiencing work-related stress or personal concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams to escalate or redirect inquiries as appropriate.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR 2+ years of related HR experience.
- At least 2 years of HR, HR support, or HR customer service experience.
- Experience with HRIS and case management platforms (ServiceNow or Salesforce preferred).
- Strong organizational, judgment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive HR matters with professionalism, confidentiality, and empathy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain HR concepts clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and service-focused environment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- HR Generalist experience strongly preferred.
- HR certifications (aPHR, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- Experience administering benefits, compensation, and performance management programs.
- Familiarity with onboarding, training coordination, and employee relations.
- Experience gathering and utilizing HR metrics.
- Experience supporting both U.S. and Canadian HR matters (preferred but not required).
Pay: $20.29 – $28.99 /hr.
