What You Will Be Doing:
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Engineer 2 in Test Automation to join our Vehicle Management team. This role involves developing and executing automated and manual test scripts for services supporting global business operations across the full vehicle life cycle.
As part of the team, you will help drive the maturation of our test automation suite and ensure the quality of our services through thorough testing of applications and REST APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites for functional, regression, and smoke tests using internal and open-source tools.
- Conduct manual testing for new features that have not yet been automated.
- Define test specifications for functional and integration testing.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Create and maintain test plans as the product grows in functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide estimates for assignments.
- Analyze and debug automated test code.
- Contribute to sprint planning and ensure timely and accurate feedback to development teams.
- Foster strong working relationships within and outside of the team to drive projects forward.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in test automation, with a focus on creating and maintaining automated tests for applications and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript (React.js, Node.js, ES6 and later), and SQL development.
- Proficiency with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, and Karate.
- Experience with API testing and integrating automated tests into existing development and continuous integration processes.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Azure, Oracle).
- Experience with version control systems like Bitbucket (GIT) and Jenkins.
- Ability to execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and provide timely feedback.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to contribute to improving overall quality engineering practices.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience working with Cloud services, particularly AWS.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation, including planning, script development, and maintenance, preferably in a cloud environment.
- Familiarity with design and development of test automation scripts using Playwright, Jest, Postman, and Karate.
- Experience with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence).
- Startup mentality: self-starter, proactive, and flexible.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $45.50 – $65 /yr.
