What You Will Be Doing:
As an Engineer 2, you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge to resolve technical issues and identify business process flow problems. We are looking for a talented individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on moderate to complex assignments.
In this role on the Vehicle Services team, you must possess a strong sense for Customer Service as you will work with the Production Support team to ensure the continual quality and stability of applications. You will interact with other IT client teams and will be responsible for understanding/troubleshooting/resolving issues and providing root cause analysis and feedback to the clients. This role will require you to have strong knowledge of SQL, Database and Java, which will enable you to research and identify issues as well as make changes to data in the databases we support. This team works off Incident tickets, therefore familiarity with ServiceNow and Atlassian Confluence/Jira is beneficial.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
- 3+ years of Java-based software development or related experience.
- 1+ years of experience with REST/SOAP Web Services.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Initiative, results-oriented drive, and a solid work ethic.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools.
- Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN).
- Experience with AWS (EC2, SQS, S3, etc.).
- Experience with Unix Operating system.
Pay: $49.00 – $70.00 /hr.
