What You Will Be Doing:
As an Engineer 2, you will utilize your technical expertise to resolve complex technical issues and identify inefficiencies in business process flows. We are seeking a talented individual who can act as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and effectively represent their department on moderate to complex assignments.
In this role on the Vehicle Services team, a strong customer service orientation is essential as you will collaborate with the Production Support team to ensure the ongoing quality and stability of applications. Your responsibilities will include interacting with various IT client teams, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and providing root cause analysis and feedback to clients. Proficiency in SQL, database management, and Java is critical for researching and identifying issues as well as making necessary changes to supported databases. Familiarity with incident ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Atlassian Confluence/Jira is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to applications and databases.
- Conduct root cause analysis and provide feedback to clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability and performance.
- Maintain effective communication with various levels of management and technical staff.
- Manage incident tickets efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
- Commitment to incorporating security into all decisions and daily responsibilities.
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
- 3+ years of Java-based software development or related experience.
- 1+ years of experience with REST/SOAP Web Services.
- Strong communication skills to engage with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Initiative, results-oriented drive, and a solid work ethic.
- Flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and requirements.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools
- Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN experience preferred)
- Experience with AWS – EC2, SQS, S3, etc.
- Experience in the Unix Operating system.
Pay: $50.32 – $71.88 /yr.
