What You Will Be Doing:
We are looking for a skilled Developer to support our reporting platforms through development on visualization and in-house solutions. This remote role requires a strong business insights mindset combined with a solid development background to enable customized reporting solutions and enhance our DevOps capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Influence and implement an end-to-end vision for presenting production data within an analysis platform built in Python.
- Build and deploy datasets based on user requirements for visualization and reporting across multiple platforms, ensuring quality and relational integrity.
- Provide clear lineage of data used within visualizations, along with proper documentation and organization.
- Support the team in building a solid deployment infrastructure with a focus on DevOps.
- Assist in building sprint schedules, managing support tickets, and tracking bugs.
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Develop data visualizations and reporting solutions based on feedback from engineers and end users.
- Work closely with managers, regional automation, or process engineers as needed.
- Balance responsibilities between new development (50%) and maintenance (50%).
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Python and Django frameworks.
- Experience with Java.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, MSSQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data modeling and relational integrity.
- Experience in ETL processes with various technologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and deployment process flow.
- Experience with Tableau Server/Desktop/Prep setup and dashboard building.
- Strong initiative and results-oriented mindset, able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Denodo or data virtualization preferred.
- Knowledgeable in data governance concepts and their implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but an associate degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
Pay: $57.40 – $82.00 /hr.
