What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Deep Learning Data Scientist to join our interdisciplinary team. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in deep learning to generate innovative machine learning solutions aimed at better understanding biomolecules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in a cross-functional and global team environment.
- Stay updated on advancements in machine learning, particularly in biomolecular analysis and modeling techniques.
- Collaborate to develop a high-quality toolkit for data processing and machine learning of biomolecular data.
- Own and pursue a research agenda, generating new ideas for long-term projects.
- Conceive, execute, and evaluate models and experiments; interpret results and present findings in cross-functional meetings.
- Assist researchers in utilizing machine learning in their discovery processes.
- Collaborate with peers in the Regulatory Divisions.
- Enhance external visibility and scientific excellence through publishing, open-source contributions, and community engagement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- PhD in computer science, computational chemistry, computational biology, physics, or related fields; or M.Sc. with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in advanced mathematical models, machine learning methods, and model selection concepts.
- Prior experience with deep learning, transformer-based methods, and diffusion models is advantageous.
- Strong interest in biology and life sciences, with knowledge of proteins.
- Excellent programming and software engineering skills in Python.
- Experience in cloud computing and proficient coding abilities.
- Highly creative, independent, fast learner with strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with open-source code contributions and scientific publishing.
- Familiarity with data processing tools and frameworks.
Pay: $52.50 – $75.00 /hr.
