What You Will Be Doing:
The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise data infrastructure, analytics solutions, and business application platforms across Microsoft and cloud ecosystems. This role is responsible for building high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating APIs, optimizing large-scale SQL and BigQuery environments, and delivering business intelligence solutions through Power BI and Power Apps. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions while proactively improving data architecture to support future scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop Power Apps solutions, including both canvas and model-driven applications, to support business workflows.
  • Design, build, and deliver end-to-end Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and BigQuery environments using partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization best practices.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Google BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric dataflows, and related platforms.
  • Integrate internal and external APIs using REST, OAuth, rate-limiting, and retry handling.
  • Transform and load data into BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric OneLake environments.
  • Develop reusable enterprise data models and curated datasets for reporting and analytics.
  • Utilize Python and/or R for data processing, automation, statistical analysis, and reproducible workflows.
  • Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and data scientists to align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Anticipate future reporting and analytics requirements, proposing and leading scalable improvements.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments while maintaining prioritization and communication standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years of Power Apps experience, including canvas and model-driven applications.
  • 3+ years of Power BI experience, including dashboard development, DAX, performance tuning, and end-to-end delivery.
  • 4+ years of advanced SQL experience, including stored procedures, optimization, and BigQuery tuning.
  • 2+ years of ETL/ELT pipeline development experience using BigQuery and Microsoft Fabric dataflows.
  • 2+ years of API integration experience using REST, OAuth, and rate-limit management.
  • 3+ years of experience building reusable data models and curated enterprise datasets.
  • 2+ years of Python and/or R experience for data workflows and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, Power Platform, and modern data engineering architecture.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with excellent prioritization and communication.
  • Strong business requirements gathering and technical translation capabilities.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with cloud-based analytics ecosystems and enterprise-scale reporting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric OneLake architecture.
  • Experience leading data modernization or transformation initiatives.
  • Statistical analysis and predictive analytics experience.
  • Strong understanding of scalable data governance and optimization strategies.
  • Ability to proactively identify long-term business data needs.
  • Experience in high-growth or fast-paced business environments.

Pay: $53.90 – $77.00 /hr.
