What You Will Be Doing:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to interpret data and transform it into actionable insights that can improve business decisions. The Data Analyst will gather information from various sources, interpret patterns and trends, and communicate findings to relevant colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate to design and develop schemas and data acquisition, transformations, and data integration
- Develop and utilize software to interface big data and relational solutions
- Design and implement solutions for metadata, data quality, and privacy management
- Support and consult with development staff on data-related initiatives
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data from various sources
- Identify patterns and trends in complex data sets
- Report analytical findings back to relevant business stakeholders through comprehensive studies
- Work alongside cross-functional teams and management to establish and understand business needs
- Define new data collection and analysis processes to improve business operations
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
Required Skills & Experience:
- Technical Degree or equivalent work experience in data analysis, statistics, or related field
- High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large-scale databases
- Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Spotfire, SAS)
- Strong coding experience in multiple 4th generation languages (SQL, ABAP, Python, R)
- Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly terms
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical modeling
- Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
- Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL databases)
- Business intelligence and reporting experience
- Project management experience in data-driven initiatives
- Experience working in agile development environments
Pay: $32.61 – $46.59 /hr.
