What You Will Be Doing:
Join a cutting-edge initiative focused on modernizing control systems across multiple industrial facilities to elevate safety and reliability standards. This long-term project includes substantial updates to control systems, messaging protocols, and infrastructure, targeting completion across 17 major sites by 2028.
Key Objectives:
- Control System Standardization: Update and standardize control architectures and protocols, aligning with modern industrial standards.
- Infrastructure Upgrades: Modernize existing infrastructure, including hardware and software, with assessments for civil, mechanical, and electrical enhancements.
- Messaging Protocol: Transition from legacy proprietary protocols to MQTT to enhance operational efficiency and data communication reliability.
- Scope of Services Needed
- We’re looking for experienced consultants in Control Systems Integration and Custom Software Application Development who can support the modernization process with skills in SCADA, MQTT, and related controls software.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of control system architectures and principles.
- Proficiency in SCADA systems (e.g., Wonderware, InduSoft) and industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3).
- Experience with MQTT messaging protocols and their integration with control systems.
- Solid programming skills in C#, C++, or Python.
- Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience with industrial cybersecurity standards and practices.
- Knowledge of cloud-based control systems and IoT technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies.
- Experience with data analytics and machine learning techniques applied to control systems.
Pay: $70 – $100 /hr.
