Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented Behavioral Scientist – External Affairs (Remote).

What You Will Be Doing:
You will play a strategic role in shaping behavioral strategies that support financial well-being and community impact initiatives. This position focuses on leveraging behavioral science to influence public policy, strengthen investor outcomes, and measure the impact of community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the owner of key behavioral strategies identified by External Affairs leadership.
  • Create and manage a Community Index aligned with financial fulfillment goals, coordinating partnerships for development and maintenance.
  • Develop and lead impact-oriented financial education initiatives across client segments.
  • Generate evidence supporting $100B community-impact and firm-impact goals.
  • Integrate behavioral forecasting models to help prioritize work and assess investment impact.
  • Co-design behavioral interventions expanding access to wealth-building tools for first-generation investors, small-business owners, and caregivers.
  • Review and synthesize research and academic literature to provide actionable insights for leadership.
  • Collaborate with the BIRD Lab and external partners (academics, NGOs) to accelerate research and development in behavioral applications.
  • Advise and consult on behavioral design integration across digital product experiences and enterprise initiatives.
  • Translate complex behavioral data and insights into accessible communication for executives and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in psychology, behavioral finance, economics, or a related social science field (Doctorate preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. household financial decision-making and the policy/regulatory environment influencing financial well-being.
  • Proven experience in financial services, public policy, communications, or social impact roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale behavioral science initiatives within organizations.
  • Strong data analysis and research design skills, including quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Ability to design, test, and scale behavioral interventions in collaboration with business, community, and academic partners.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience integrating behavioral science into digital product design or UX optimization.
  • Expertise in behavioral forecasting or predictive modeling.
  • Strong strategic communication skills to influence non-technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience in consulting or advisory roles within enterprise or governmental contexts.
  • Certification as a Financial Therapist or similar credential is a plus.

Pay: $73.50 – $105.00 /hr.
