What You Will Be Doing:
The API Practice Department is seeking a talented and motivated Engineer 2 to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining critical API-related solutions, including building reporting dashboards, automating processes, and contributing to our API Marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions and dashboards using various tools (APIs, databases, logging).
- Translate raw data into meaningful insights for different audiences.
- Automate reporting and application development processes using tools like Python, Jenkins, and Bash/Shell.
- Develop and maintain common code libraries and frameworks.
- Support API development initiatives within the API Marketplace.
- Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Product/Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure security and compliance are integrated into all solutions.
- Provide on-call support for production issues as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in IT.
- Proven experience developing and implementing reporting solutions and dashboards.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Experience with automation tools (Python, Jenkins, Bash/Shell).
- Proficiency in querying and interacting with databases.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with Splunk or a willingness to learn.
- Experience developing and implementing reusable code libraries and frameworks.
- Experience supporting databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Experience with Java, JavaScript, Groovy, Bash/Shell, Python.
- Familiarity with tools like Bitbucket, Jenkins, Solace Event Platform, and Kong Gateway.
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow).
Pay: $49 – $70 /yr.
