Our client is currently seeking a talented person for a Systems Manager position in St. Louis, Missouri.
You will prepare detailed costs and other input for the annual budget including an input for costs to evaluate hardware, software, training and other IT-related budget requirements. You will develop WBS documentation for all projects based upon established standards. You will also review tasks and activities associated with assigned projects and initiates appropriate measures to ensure project success including managing cost, revenue, timelines and adhering to established WBS for assigned products and systems. You will help ensure the Information Technology division operates within budget guidelines and constraints to fulfill current and future REJIS objectives. You will also research and document new technology solutions through the detailed analysis of all initial and ongoing costs and revenues. You will also present justifications, features, and costs for research to upper management and customers to support REJIS' strategic vision.
You will maintain appropriate relations with vendors to ensure REJIS' technology needs are properly met. You will monitor and ensure service contracts and renewals are kept current. You will report project issues affecting target dates and/or project hours, justifies reasons for change and gets approval from upper management. You will serve as a liaison between vendor, customer representatives, and customers at all levels to manage project issues and ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled. You will determine the feasibility of proposed applications and system enhancements and RFCs. You will lead initiatives to evaluate and prepare a response to any RFI, RFQ, or RFP. You will also review and approve systems' documentation. You will assure system naming conventions and application standards throughout the development lifecycle including future direction and enhancements of systems and products. You will take the lead in monitoring systems for performance and service level agreements. You will monitor Opportunities and incidents so work is completed as scheduled in a timely manner while ensuring customer expectations are met. You will also lead teams in the analysis of performance related issues impacting service delivery to customers. You will interview, evaluate and hire staff as required to fill vacancies. You will conduct employee performance evaluations. You will manage, mentor and coordinate the efforts of staff assigned to applications development.
