Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Support Specialist (Application) - Intermediate position.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will do implementation, administration, and configuration of JAMF Enterprise environment. You will do MAC deployment automation architecture, design/migration, and troubleshooting. You will be engaging Managed Service organizations to address quality JAMF policies and configuration and process concern. You will contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for deploying enterprise MAC technologies. You will evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives. You will provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to other IT groups. You will also investigate, analyze and resolve technical issues and actively pursue mechanisms for preventing, or automating the response to reoccurrences. You will participate within the Agile Sprints in the Product Management and Engineering organization to ensure quality execution of all OS related changes that will affect the operations and support organization. You will review and approve all Knowledge Base articles related to OS support provided by P&E and Managed Service vendors. You will engage and ensure any security changes or initiatives that might have Jamf related impacts are evaluated and reviewed with the IT operations and support organization. You will also engage in any changes with vendors to streamline Jamf related processes. You will lead the analysis of issues/problems and development of technical solutions as it relates to the Jamf. You will work with the Engineering and the Managed Service groups in identifying emerging incident trends and drive problem resolution. You will provide subject matter technical expertise across all IT support functions and build solutions that drive resolution to the elimination of issues or to lower level support organizations. You will also work with the Service Integration team to help define production readiness and transition acceptance criteria and ensuring criteria completed before new system implementation.

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of prior experience in large enterprise environments supporting Jamf is required.

  • Familiarity with all recent releases of macOS (Yosemite, El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra). (features, patching, etc.)

  • Experience using the JAMF Casper Suite tools (Recon, Composer, Remote, Admin). Familiarity with various tools to assist in the deconstruction and rebuilding of installer packages (fseventer, Pacifist, Composer, InstaDMG, and autoPKG). Prefer JAMF Casper certification

  • An in-depth understanding of the OS imaging process using JAMF

  • Knowledge of the role of the keychains in the user experience and overall knowledge of root and site certificates and their role in secure communication/browsing in macOS

  • Experience in working with third-party engineering level support (Apple, JAMF, various security vendors)

  • The ability to clearly communicate to both team members and the user community. This may include writing RFCs, sending out email communications to management and/or the users, writing How-To documentation with step-by-step procedures to include supporting graphics (screen caps mostly)

  • First-hand experience with the installation and administration of the JAMF Software Server. This would include experience building policies for mass deployment, building Smart Groups, deploying configuration profiles. Prefer JAMF certification

It Would Be Great, but Not Required, if You Had:

  • JAMF 200 certification

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering)

  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) frameworks

  • Comfortable working within a managed Change process environment (filing RFCs with detailed information on the servers/users affected, providing an overview of the update process and a fallback in the event of failure).

  • Familiarity with integration of Apple devices (Mac laptop, desktop, iOS mobile devices)

  • Install, configure and maintain Acronis Connect on Windows Servers for Spotlight searching of predominantly Mac shares

  • Troubleshoot Apple hardware problems
