Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Support Specialist (Application) - Intermediate position.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will provide support for all Windows OS escalated issues. You will provide quality reviews/checks for all new initiatives and changes incoming from all other IT organizations and Managed Services for all Windows operating systems. You will also participate in all service transition and support readiness initiatives and reviews related to pending Windows OS upgrades and changes. You will also participate in the Agile Sprints in the Product Management and Engineering organization to ensure quality execution of all OS related changes that will affect the operations and support organization. You will review and approve all Knowledge Base articles related to OS support provided by P&E and Managed Service vendors. You will also engage and ensure any security changes or initiatives that might have Windows OS related impacts are evaluated and reviewed by the IT operations and support organization. You will also engage in any changes with vendors to streamline imaging processes for all Windows related Endpoints. You will lead the analysis of issues/problems and development of technical solutions as it relates to the Windows OS. You will work with the Engineering and the Managed Service groups to identifying emerging incident trends and drive problem resolution. You will provide subject matter technical expertise across all IT support functions and build solutions that drive resolution to the elimination of issues or to lower level support organizations. You will work with the Service Integration team to help define production readiness and transition acceptance criteria and ensuring criteria completed before new system implementation. You will also review and work with desktop engineering plan. Assist the Desktop Support team with participation in enterprise project deployments or resolving operational issues. You will establish system parameters and formats to ensure hardware/software compatibility. You will have mastery level knowledge of supporting, managing and implementing Microsoft Windows 10 and legacy Operating Systems. You will thrive in a highly regulated and fast-paced and changing environment with proven multitasking skills and focus on details and accuracy. You will create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution including design, installation, and administration documentation. You will also provide mentoring, education, guidance, assistance and training for other team members regarding technical support processes and technologies. You will be expected to work professionally with technology vendors in support of the OD environment.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Windows Operating Systems: 5 years

  • Windows 10: 3 year

  • BitLocker: 3 years

  • SCCM: 3 years

  • Altiris: 2 years

  • 3+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting issues in a large enterprise environment (more than 10,000 users)

  • The candidate must have proven End User interaction with various End Users and able to maintain ticket SLA's for responding to User Requests promptly

  • Broad-based Endpoint and client technology knowledge, with a curiosity that leads to continuous learning, and the ability to quickly grasp new ideas, concepts, and technologies

  • Must have significant Microsoft Windows Engineering and Administration, as well as Infrastructure Knowledge

  • Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, DSC, etc.)

  • Good understanding of ITSM practices and processes

  • Previous experience supporting IT services based on SLAs

  • Ability to see things with a global mindset

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, oral communication and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated success in contributing to a continuous process improvement environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive tactical response issues.

  • Manage ambiguous situations, strong critical thinking and ability to be decisive while working cooperatively

  • Must be a self-starter, collaborate across team boundaries, drive issues to conclusion and hold others accountable for results

  • Must have strong influencing skills

It Would Be Great, but Not Required, if You Had:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or Engineering)

  • Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) frameworks

  • Office 365: 2 years

  • OneNote / OneDrive: 2 year
