Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Service Operations Engineer - Master position.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will enhance Cloud infrastructure security using monitoring, service health dashboards, operational playbooks. You will be an escalation point for all production issues and partner with App teams to drive security incident management process. You will drive remediation of security vulnerabilities for all of AWS Infrastructure. You will recommend and implement exceptional engineering practices towards ensuring security, reliability, and availability at a massive scale. You will collaborate with services teams at Climate to build secure and optimized microservices. You will also evangelize identity access management and other best practices to enhance the security of Climate.coms compute, data and batch resources. You will effectively govern and secure Climate.coms AWS resources in the public cloud. You will perform Cloud networking Systems (VPC, Firewalls Cloudtrail) Logging Enhancements. You will enhance availability and reliability of core networking and supporting infrastructure (Puppet, DNS, Certs renewals, Networking, Firewalls, CDN). You will effectively govern Climate.coms networking resources (firewalls, VPCs, networking security groups).

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment

  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA)

  • 5+ years of experience with monitoring, troubleshooting and diagnosing security related Core Cloud infrastructure issues.

It Would Be Great, but Not Required, if You Had:

  • Experience with any public cloud based provider such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Compute

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef, Ansible or Puppet

  • Expertise in open source monitoring systems (Prometheus, Sensu), NewRelic and Splunk.

  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), Docker Containers and scheduling frameworks (e.g Kubernetes, Amazon ECS)

  • Expertise with Amazons security toolset (Inspector, KMS, Organizations, GuardDuty, Macie, Shield etc)

  • Familiarity with distributed data platforms (e.g. DynamoDB, Hadoop, EMR, Spark, PostGIS, ElasticSearch)

  • Familiarity with languages (Python, Java)

  • Maturity, judgement, negotiation/influence, analytical, and leadership skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • BS or higher in Computer Science
