Our client is currently seeking a talented person for a Senior Corporate Development Analyst position.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will perform duties to support the Corporate Development Group, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisition activities, including: financial modeling and valuation analysis, tracking of current and prospective targets, competitive analysis and industry research, as well as other activities to include creation of monthly/quarterly reports, recruiting efforts and training initiatives. You will analyze the market environment including industry trends, competitor information, and acquisitions in related industries. You will evaluate and monitor target opportunities for Centene, including core business as well as specialty company business. You will perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of opportunities including financial projections and valuation analysis as well as lead drafting of summary Board materials. You will also perform and manage the due diligence efforts for merger and acquisition opportunities lead the review, analysis, and drafting of summary conclusions of due diligence activities. You will proactively communicate with internal and external professionals in the course of accomplishing position responsibilities and Corporate Development Group's objectives. You will provide leadership and training to junior resources and interns working with the Corporate Development Group. You will take ownership in the completion of deliverables for Corporate Development Group projects and provide analytical and administrative support to other (non-merger and acquisition focused) segments of the Corporate Development Group, as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years of transaction related experience, including Corporate Development, M&A, Transaction Advisory Services, or Venture Capital / Private Equity.
  • Similar experience comprising project management, due diligence and financial / investment analysis in Leveraged Finance, Capital Markets, or Investment Research will also be considered (with preference to the healthcare sector).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access preferred.
