Our client is currently seeking a talented person for a Payroll Clerk position in Denver, Colorado.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be responsible for performing the day to day aspects of the payroll function with the global organization. (Canada, US, and Puerto Rico operations). You will coordinate all payroll functions and perform daily payroll operations, managing workflow to ensure that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and as scheduled. You will do timecard processing and auditing for both union and non-union employees. You will also do payroll processing, including reconciliation prior to transmission and resolving discrepancies. You will process off-cycle payrolls and special payroll runs including terminations, bonus runs and relocation. You will validate, process, and approve payroll input for Canadian, and US operations. You will ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to employees and taxing authorities. You will review open payroll items for accuracy prior to payroll processing. You will also review and resolve payroll inquiries. You will import/export payroll data from the system into other systems. You will manipulate data with v-lookup and pivot tables. You will assist in development and testing of complex payroll rules and how they are accomplished in the payroll and timekeeping system. You will develop and redesign business processes and procedures as necessary to complete payroll activities and special projects. You will support 401(k) as it relates to payroll. You will manage records of distribution and contribution. You will provide support for the on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processes, tax reporting, and W-2 processing. You will also develop reports and run queries to handle information requests from various stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For:

  • ADP Vantage, ADP Pay@Work Canada preferred experience.

  • Bachelors degree and 3 to 5+ years Payroll processing experience.

  • Experience with multiple pay cycles, off cycle payrolls and special runs including transactions, terminations, bonus runs, and relocations

  • Canadian experience preferred

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships that facilitate learning, promote teamwork, and demonstrate exemplary customer service.

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle time sensitive/confidential information appropriately.
