Our client is currently seeking a talented person for a Lead Data Analyst position.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will be responsible for analytical data needs of the business unit. Handle complex data projects and acts as a lead for other Data Analysts. You will provide advanced analytical support for business operations in all or some of the following areas: claims, provider data, member data, clinical data, HEDIS, pharmacy, external reporting. You will oversee the production process including creating of monthly close reporting for accounting. You will also oversee the design and implementation of new software tools. You will oversee and review modifications of existing process of software. You will extract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sources. You will review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities for management. You will develop reports and deliverables and make recommendations to management. You will model data using MS Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data warehouse analytical tools. You will assist the management in driving business decisions based on data. You will ensure compliance with federal and state deliverable reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis. You will also oversee training and mentoring other Data Analysts. You will determine workload and related activities for other Data Analysts.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience. Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Reporting and Analysis tools, SQL, and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.

  • Experience managing projects or heavy involvement in project implementation.

It Would Be Great, but Not Required, if You Had:

  • Advanced analytic experience with the ability to take complex data and create actionable items to direct business outcomes.

  • Ability to translate complex analytics into presentations that tell a story and support business initiatives.

  • Leadership experience with the ability to coach and mentor junior data analyst.

  • Experience working with provider data, conducting trend analysis and predictive analysis.

  • Demonstrated experience working with the following: SQL, Microstrategy, Tableau, Python, R and Teradata.
