Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Field Services Specialist position.



What You Will Be Doing:

You will provide localized implementation, high quality, and effective end-user Level 2 support for hardware and software on client workstations and office network printers, while ensuring the respect of Globe Security and Compliance standards. Additionally, in accordance with these standards and guidelines, the incumbent, where required, will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for server and network devices such as racking, installation, hardware replacement and liaison to visiting hardware vendors. You will facilitate problem resolution by reviewing open problem tickets, troubleshooting issues, updating tickets with current information, proactively updating ticket status to customers and driving the resolution process within SLO while assisting customers to be more productive through effective support, communication, software utilization, and technology. You will analyze tickets for the root cause to eliminate business disruptions, recommend process improvements/innovation methodologies for waste elimination and provide knowledge sharing to all support teams through the updating of knowledge base articles as well as team documents. You will provide day to day support for workstations and office network printers, such as installs, moves, changes, repair, and de-installs. You will also provide task management and technical/implementation support for selected business projects as directed by Field Services Lead. As requested, you will assist subject matter experts (SME's) with on-premise support for network devices and servers while adhering to established standards, procedures, and best practices.



What We Are Looking For:

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or related discipline or 5+ years experience in equivalent IS/IT disciplines.

  • 5 or more years of hands on experience with PC/Windows, Windows 7/8.x, Active Directory, Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Lync etc.)

  • 5 or more year of hands on experience with corrective maintenance hardware (Laptop, Desktops, Laser Printers and HHT)

  • strong background in troubleshooting and supporting workstation and printer issues
  • Understanding of basic Local Area Network (LAN), TCP/IP and general networking concepts

  • Understanding of basic WINTEL environment, HP Servers (Hardware)

  • Demonstration of knowledge in basic project management

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Excellent organization and time-management skills

  • Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously

  • The ability to challenge the status quo and recommend new methods and solutions to problems and issues

  • Getting things done and delivering what is promised

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including attitude for mentoring and coaching others and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
