Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for an Engineer 2 - Systems (VMWare) position.
What You Will Be Doing:
You will be responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. We are looking for a talented individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments. You will be responsible for evaluating elements of technologys effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness. You will be required to listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations.
As an Engineer 2 on the x86 Virtual Compute team, you will be responsible for incident management and mitigation while streamlining day-to-day operational tasks through the use of scripting and automation techniques. You will support the Internal Hosting Products infrastructure and service catalogs and perform continuous improvements to the virtual infrastructures while working with other senior level staff. You will provide incident and problem resolution for complex issues, perform disaster recovery exercises, and work closely with Product Engineering to enhance the company's internal private cloud.
What We Are Looking For:
3 years of related experience
1 year of experience administering VMware vSphere 6.X infrastructure using VMware provided tools
1 year of experience administering Windows and/or Linux related infrastructure
1 year of experience administering VMware environments using PowerCLI
Must be able to work an on-call rotation, every 7-8 weeks
Must be interested in exploring new technologies, and have a desire to push your skillset outside of your comfort zone
Must be able to prioritize projects and tasks while adhering to the overall Information Technology standards
Must be capable of leading meeting and discussions such as support case reviews or project team meetings
Demonstrated customer service support ethic and focus to deliver the highest, most consistent level of customer service to our customers and partners
