Our client is currently seeking a talented person for a Department Manager--Talent Development position.



What You Will Be Doing:

You will collaborate with IT leaders and HR business partners to assess global organizational needs and implement solutions that improve the performance and effectiveness of the IT workforce. You will build and execute strategies focused on enhancing leadership skills of IT managers and technical leaders and advance the skills and business acumen of the entire workforce. You will also execute global learning and specific development programs and projects. You will manage unique and purposeful development plans for top performing talent in alignment for executive succession. You will identify and implement global learning and development strategies to increase our talent bench strength and develop plans to close the gaps. You will lead a team and provide comprehensive options for effective performance management and influence succession planning. You will also ensure that HR business partners and leaders have organizational development and change management tools and resources readily available to support timely transformation and change management for a matrixed workforce. You will effectively prioritize and deploy essential global learning and development offerings, i.e., online, remote, and classroom. You will create a roadmap for change in key areas that have the need to build capability, such as aligning competencies to roles, creating a banded environment in support of a development culture. You will also engage in learning and keep pace with IT business priorities so that learning programs and processes are integrated and deliver immediate value. You will develop measures and/or benchmarks to demand effectiveness of development efforts. You will market non-traditional tools and enablers to diverse learning experiences, i.e., stretch assignments, and job rotations, including active learning communities, development mindset, personal accountability, mentoring/coaching, e-learning tools, job aids, and use of social media. You will manage external consultants, vendors, and training partners required for the development and delivery of training, including negotiating and maintaining contractual agreements. You will also expand emerging learning trends, industry shifts, and ties to organization development.



What We Are Looking For:

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

  • 8+ years' experience in a professional learning or organizational development capacity developing programs and/or talent management, performance management, or employee development with at least 5 years' experience supporting a large IT organization

  • 5+ years demonstrated experience solving complex business problems through organizational development and learning solutions

  • 7+ years proven leadership experience, including managing leaders as well as high level individual contributors

  • Proven success in the design, development and delivery of innovative programs

  • Must have experience in developing and driving strategic, operational and tactical plans.

  • Must have proven reputation of positive impact and driving change

  • Must have the ability to work in ambiguity and complexity; agile, and able to adapt to rapidly to changing business environment

  • Must be tenacious, diplomatic, highly flexible, well organized and detail oriented

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; an exceptional listener, as well as the ability to collaborate, engage and inspire employees at all levels of the organization

  • Excellent public speaking skills in both large and small audiences

  • Must be well organized and capable of handling multiple complex projects at the same time

  • Proven experience quickly establishing effective partnerships and relationships across a large, complex organization

  • Possess a high degree of executive presence and influence

  • Must have strong aptitude for new technologies

  • Extensive experience assessing and managing vendor partners, managing external consultants, and negotiating contracts

  • Ability to travel between multiple campuses to support the organization as needed



It Would Be Great, but Not Required, if You Had:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred in Organization Development, Organization Behavior, Human Resources or related fields in IT

  • Knowledge of WorkDay, Cornerstone on Demand, and/or Halogen Learning Platform
