Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Database Analyst/developer position.



What You Will Be Doing:

You will maintain an understanding of all firm data systems, solutions and technologies in order to evaluate information for the purpose of data query, analysis, development, enhancement, reporting, support, and maintenance. You will attend meetings in order to effectively understand data needs for new solutions, support, and maintenance, based on standard business and project processes. You will also assist in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the firm's proprietary and sensitive information by identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies associated with system data and reporting. You will analyze the root cause of complex data and application issues and provides effective solutions. You will collaborate with developers and other technical and business subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance, data integrity and risk for supported applications. You will interpret and translate business data requirements into technical specifications and reports, using the available system and knowledge resources. You will provide input into the design and execution of test scripts and scenarios to ensure data integrity and reporting needs are met. You will continuously promote the importance of data accuracy and integrity through system planning, exception reporting, communication and other business or system processes. You will utilize defined processes to prioritize, communicate and document any data change requests received, in order to meet agreed-upon deadlines and deliverables. You will also assist with vendor communication and coordination, as necessary and assigned. You will perform specific and delegated duties as assigned by Technology Management.



What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in database reporting and development, including stored procedures, analysis, extracts, mapping, migration, reporting, ad hoc queries

  • Thorough knowledge and experience with relational databases and their related tools and applications, including SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSMS

  • Possess thorough knowledge of business technology needs for interpretation and translation into data and reporting requirements

  • Working knowledge and understanding of technical terminology and the ability to relate this terminology to business applications and data

  • Basic knowledge of the various functions of a law firm: products, services, structure and data

  • Strong data analytics and business knowledge skills

  • Project Management skills; Ability to work well under pressure; juggles simultaneous projects with competing priorities and deadlines

  • Strong verbal communicator, comfortable with solution presentation as well as a good listener

  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and relational database analytical software (Access, SSRS, SSMS)

  • Strong written communicator and technical writer

  • Detail and results-oriented

  • Embraces responsibility and accountability

  • Possesses vision with the ability to be forward thinking

  • Is committed to ongoing education and learning

  • Receives constructive criticism well and values input; views challenges as opportunities to improve and learn

  • Highly self-motivated and directed

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of job related experience within the areas of responsibility or a combination of formal education and experience.

  • Individual should have a basic understanding of law firm operations as well as 3-5 years' experience in data analysis, management and reporting
