Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Big Data Developer/Analyst position.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will design, construct, deploy, test and support data storage in big data constructs as well as relational and other database technologies. You will also design, construct, deploy, test and support interfaces and applications using standard big data technologies to transform data for end-user consumption. You will assess and evaluate system designs to ensure adherence to architecture and design best practices. You will research and recommend solutions to new requirements/issues. You will provide data analysis of internal and external data sources. You will develop, deploy and support data integration using APIs, NiFi, File transfers, SFTP and other data transfer technologies relevant to Big Data. You will be communicating in a timely manner all issues, risks, concerns, and status to management. You will adhere to all applicable Nestle compliance standards. You will contribute to team objectives through iterative and agile development practices. You will utilize VSTS for Code control, team management, item tracking and managing deployments.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Must have strong experience in data warehousing architecture principles, and in-depth working knowledge and understanding of data design and integration.

  • Must have strong experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience with Hadoop.

  • Prefer 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Team Foundation System/Visual Studio Team Services (TFS/VSTS) for source code management, work item tracking and build automation.

  • Ability to understand very detailed requirements and collaborate effectively with various team members such as Business Analysts and Project Managers.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and problem solving skills are essential for this position.

  • Initiative, courage, and curiosity are mandatory leadership skills required for this position.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Be familiar with compliance and controls for software development and deployment

  • Familiar with enterprise architectures that include cloud components such as Azure SQL Server databases, Azure data storage components.

  • Familiar with end-user reporting and collaboration Tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint

  • (Preferred) Familiar with data visualization techniques that allow insight and exploration.

  • (Preferred) Familiar with data connectivity technologies such as APIs and data gateways

  • Other Administrative tasks
