Our client is currently seeking a talented person for a Senior Vendor Management Analyst position.

What You Will Be Doing:

You will add greater value to IT planning and decision making processes by providing Accounting, Asset Management, Purchasing, Sourcing, Contracts and Vendor Management services. You will be responsible for the supply of new and existing hardware and software products and services. You will act as the main liaison between the Company and its suppliers for these products and services, mitigating risks, maintaining vendor relationships and holding vendors accountable to service level agreements.

As a Vendor Management Analyst Sr, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders within IT Business Management and other IT departments. The scope of your role includes developing, communicating, implementing and maintaining standards, processes and procedures for the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to utilize strong leadership, relationship management and influencing skills to collaborate across multi-functional teams.

You will have vendor contract and/or vendor risk management responsibilities and is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic, high performing individual to grow and develop. The purpose of your position is to mature, expand and optimize our vendor contract management and/or vendor risk management capabilities while positioning the organization to be agile and ready to respond to the ever-changing supplier environment. You will have a background in vendor management concepts, with a specific focus on IT vendor contract and/or vendor risk management.

You will be defining the governance, roles and responsibilities for IT vendor contract management and/or vendor risk management across the organization. You will clearly defining mutual expectations of vendor management organization and internal and external stakeholders. You will be conducting research and identifying, collecting and analyzing vendor information to make informed recommendations and decisions. You will be developing and leveraging metrics, dashboards and scorecards; analyze data and use it to manage vendors. You will also be developing approaches and solutions that are clearly linked to the organization's strategy and goals for optimal vendor performance, maximizing IT spend. You will be assessing scope and potential impact of a vendor risk or opportunity in order to evaluate multiple courses of action. You will be taking responsibility for personal growth and development, building on and applying existing knowledge while gaining new knowledge and skills.

What We Are Looking For:

  • ****This is a permanent, direct hire role. No remote work is possible, must be done in St. Louis.

  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities

  • 3+ years IT Vendor Management experience

  • Must have proven experience in establishing, fostering and maintaining relationships within the organization

  • Must have experience in collaborating and partnering with functional peer groups, including the presentation and exchange of information.

  • Must have experience in influencing and gaining consensus from peers and multiple departments

  • Must have experience in developing and maintaining processes and procedures that support team activities associated with specific area of expertise or responsibility

  • Must have experience in resolving complex issues and recommending potential solutions to issues

  • Must have displayed team centric skills and strong customer service skills

  • Must have experience providing guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments

  • Must have experience in informally coaching and mentoring less senior team members individually or as a group

It Would Be Great, but Not Required, if You Had:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred

  • Thorough and up-to-date understanding of trends and developments in the area of vendor management, especially vendor contract management and/or vendor risk management

  • Proven ability to implement creative and innovative approaches to large, complex programs and business problems

  • Proven success in leveraging cross-functional resources across departments and groups - or - proven success gaining buy-in from decision makers and stakeholders across IT and the business

  • Proven success creating, implementing, and executing transformational strategy

  • Experience preparing and delivering informal and formal presentations to own team, department, other IT teams and business partners

  • Experience in monitoring task automation and implementing process improvements, and recommending enhancements that result in increased quality, efficiencies, and overall value to the IT organization

  • Experience in monitoring the effectiveness of established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards, and negotiating and developing new service level agreements in response to changing needs

  • Experience in developing and implementing quality standards for products and services

  • Experience in establishing key performance metrics and monitoring them to ensure compliance of established standards, processes and procedures

  • Professional Certifications (CPSM, CTPE, etc.)
