Technology Partners is currently seeking a talented person for a Project Scheduler position.
You will establish project schedule configuration management policies and best practices on change control and baseline schedule control.
You will assist other project leaders in developing schedule approaches based on the unique characteristics of a particular project or program.
You will also provide coaching to other project leaders to develop the scheduling-related components for project management plans and
continual improvement in schedule heatlh. You will also provide the business value of a scheduling service, provide information on the role of
a scheduler, and foster scheduling procedures to project team members to facilitate effective participation on the project. You will define,
practice, and monitor schedule control processes and development concepts (baseline control, variance thresholds, work break down
structures, organizational break down structure, resource breakdown structures). You will develop techniques to advance estimating practices
on activity durations, using scheduling techniques such as three-point estimate, parametric estimating, analogous and or Program Evaluation
and Review Technique (PERT) to develop the schedule. You will audit schedules for schedule health metrics (14-Point Assessment metrics)
and provide recommendations to improve schedule health. You will build techniques and tools to allow program managers and project leaders
to see resource availability and resource constraints. You will assist program managers in developing integrated master plans and assist,
coach, and audit integrated master schedules developed by project leaders. You will also perform schedule risk analysis using quantitiatve
tools (what-if scenarios, Monte Carlo simulation) in order to determine if milestone dates are achievable withthin acceptable risk tolerances
and recommend management reserve to mitigate. You will assist project leaders and program managers on schedule monitoring and
controlling by identifying and mitigating risks, developing standard reports, and performing independent reviews on projects behind schedule.
You will work closely with leadership inside the PMO and outside on auditing projects that come through a governance process while
continuing to improve the scheduling best practices and process. You will shape the strategy of scheduling in an evolving environment that
has traditional waterfall approaches, Agile approaches, and portfolio management practices.
